Teaching context and philosophy

Aidan has contributed to teaching medical students by delivering lectures, individual, small group and bedside tutorials, clinical mentoring, simulation activities, clinical skill sessions, speciality workshops and training, and other learning activities. He has contributed to medical student examinations and assessments through participation as an examiner in clinical examinations, writing and marking examinations and other assessments, and viva participation and training. He has also contributed to mentoring of medical students, sharing of professional experiences with medical students, supervising medical students on research projects and clinical placements, designing and developing curriculum, reviewing online educational resources and support materials, serving on committees, and selecting candidates for admission.

Aidan is a paediatric registrar, scientific researcher and medical academic. He’s a Paediatric Registrar and Deputy Chief Resident Medical Officer at Sydney Children’s Hospital. He’s a Research Affiliate at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre and Sydney Children’s Hospital, with expertise in meta-research and research methods.
